WALX (100.9 FM, "Lazer 101") is a Top 40 music formatted radio station licensed to Selma, Alabama, and serving the Montgomery, Alabama, market.[1] The station is owned by Scott Communications, Inc.

Programming

In addition to its usual music programming, WALX broadcast the high school football games of Montgomery, Alabama's Saint James School starting with the 2008 season.[2][3] These games had previously aired on WACV (1170 AM).[2]

Station relocation

On April 27 2006 the station was granted a construction permit by the Federal Communications Commission to change its community of license to Orrville, Alabama. This permit expires on April 27 2009.
