" an indirect elimination, a player plants a weapon where his or her target will be eliminated by it, or changes his or her target's environment in a specific way, as defined by the variant's rules, that results in an apple with chocolate." |

I would personally change or remove that, but every time I try that I get hit for vandalism. |

:: Strange. Who-ever's 'hitting' you is likely the vandal themself, or a colluder, or maybe a rogue bot. I would remove it. [[Special:Contributions/86.21.227.237|86.21.227.237]] ([[User talk:86.21.227.237|talk]]) 22:41, 17 September 2008 (UTC) |

Specific Rules
If you have specific rules about assassins, please do not include them in the article unless you can generalize them sufficiently! It has been suggested that:
It sounds like several people here have a lot of specialized information to share, in more detail than an encyclopedia article can support. Have you considered starting up a project at Wikicities or other Wiki provider? That way, you could really get into the nuts and bolts that are specifically useful to Assassin players. Hmm, this is a good idea FreplySpang. I will check this out RyanTMulligan (talk) 03:12, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Recent Edits
I removed "It has been played all across America" because it was out of place and not cited in the "Collusion" section. It had nothing to do with that section. Guitaristnick ((talk) 00:20, 24 April, 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.204.196.214 (talk) 05:21, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Split Article?
It seems that there is a lot of content for various Assassins guilds throughout the world. Maybe it would be a good idea to split the article about the game into the game article and an article detailing the history/ current status of assassins guilds all over the world.

Size
This article gives no indication as to the size of the group playing, how players are selected, etc. Can someone insert and reference this information? /Blaxthos 16:52, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Origins and oldest groups
Does anyone know the origins of the game? Steve Jackson's Killer might be one, but the concept may have been around before. The name 'Assassins' Guild' comes from Terry Pratchett, but not the actual game mechanics. As far as guilds/groups go, I think the MIT guild may be the oldest. Cambridge is quite old too - dating to as early as 1993. 86.21.227.237 (talk) 22:41, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
People have told me they were playing it in the 70's RyanTMulligan (talk) 02:26, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
