Shikabane Hime (屍姫, lit. Corpse Princess) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshiichi Akahito. The series centers around the "Corpse Princess" Makina Hoshimura, an undead girl who is hunting down 108 undead corpses, or zombies, in order to gain entry into heaven with the help of a secret society of anti-corpse Buddhist monks.

Anime

An anime adaptation produced by Feel and Gainax began airing in Japan on October 2, 2008.[2][3] It was first announced in the July 12, 2008 Monthly Shōnen Gangan magazine that Shikabane Hime would receive an anime adaptation,[4][5] which was announced by a Gainax panel at the 2008 FanimeCon as one of the two unnamed projects by Chikashi Kubota[6] before he became the show's chief designer.[7] The opening and ending themes, "Beautiful fighter" and "My story", are set to have a single release from Angela on November 12, 2008.[8]
