The Box: How the Shipping Container Made the World Smaller and the World Economy Bigger is a book by Marc Levinson charting the historic rise of the shipping container and how it changed the economic landscape on a major scale.
The book inspired the name of a project by the BBC in which they are tracking a container for a year[1].
