It does not contradict itself. Though his family immigrated from Dominica, he has not to be of dominican descent, as there are also foreigners on that island. I thing the category is just wrong. (hope this is understandable, not a native speaker) [[Special:Contributions/129.217.129.132|129.217.129.132]] ([[User talk:129.217.129.132|talk]]) 16:12, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

==Weight==

He's fat now. This should be mentioned somewhere. Weight gain is detrimental to one's health.

He's a (cute)great actor.--Peace, Cute 1 4 u 11:42, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The carlton dance has just been promised.

This article needs some mention of him selling breakdancing mats and materials on infomercials in the 1980s.

I was thinking of adding a section on this page about the widespread rumor that circulated in the 1980's about him breaking his neck and dying when he attempted to breakdance after doing the Michael Jackson commercial. If anybody can find reasons why I shouldn't, please let me know. Sarc37 19:03, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gumball 3000

He is participating in the Gumball 3000 this year (2008). I saw him at the Gumball 3000 and I know he is in it but I didn't see him arrive or leave so I don't know what car he is in but I do know he is in it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.5.218.217 (talk) 05:36, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Middle Name

I just added Ribeiro's middle name (Lincoln) to the article. It says that that is his middle name on PublicBackgroundChecks.com: http://www.publicbackgroundchecks.com/Default.aspx?view=&nmi=Alfonso%20Ribeiro

Explain This

"Afro-Dominican?" This is like saying "Afro-Nigerian." It does not make sense since the peoples of the Dominican Republic ARE of African origins and are black. The MAJORITY is clearly black and the rest are clearly mulattoes, like it's neighbor, Haiti. You need to clean this up and get it right.--71.235.81.39 08:02, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

-WRONG. actually i'm white and dominican, african-dominicans account for 17%, while mixed is 77% (white is 16%), so I say it should be kept. if you need evidence, here: https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/dr.html#People Mixed can range any shade, and while many are in the darker range, everything you just stated is a stereotype. Descent

Alfonso Ribeiro says in a interview, last July 26,2008 for Sidewalkstv that his family is from Trinidad & Tobago. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rebezuniga (talkcontribs) 19:05, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According with an interview this month, he said his family is from Trinidad & Tobago. [1] 26 july 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rebezuniga (talkcontribs) 04:37, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In the intro of the article it says that he is of Dominican descent (and he is in the corresponding category), but in "Personal Life" he apparently says in an interview that he is of Trinidadian descent, however there is no source cited. Which is it? It contradicts itself. Save-Me-Oprah (talk) 23:57, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
