WQSO (96.7 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Classic Hits format. Licensed to Rochester, New Hampshire, USA, the station serves the Rochester-Portsmouth area. The station is currently owned by Clear Channel Communications.[1]

History

The station went on the air as WKOS-FM on 1987-12-18. On 1990-12-17, the station changed its call sign to WWEM, on 1995-04-03 to WSRI and on 1997-09-29 to the current WQSO.[2]

The station signed on in 1979 as WWNH. Then in 1983 the calls were changed to WXKZ and to WCYT in 1986 and within a year to WKOS by 1987.
