Assessment
This is part of a project to provide a comprehensive and structured overview of the German state railways (Länderbahnen) and their locomotives by producing English translations of the equivalent German Wikipedia articles. Like their German Wikipedia counterparts, some articles are light in terms of images, sources and references. As I am primarily a translator, not a researcher, assistance here would be greatly appreciated.
This has been rated as 'mid' importance within the 'Trains' project and 'high' within the 'Rail transport in Germany' project because it was the first locomotive fielded in large numbers in Germany and is also the oldest, preserved locomotive in Germany.--Bermicourt (talk) 16:49, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
