The Event
The 1995 Embassy World Snooker Championship took place at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield between the 14th to the 30th April 1995. Stephen Hendry won his fifth world title beating Nigel Bond 18-9.
Notable Moments

- This is so far the last World Championship to start on a Friday (which the 14th was on Good Friday in 1995 and a Saturday and Sunday final (on 29 and 30th April) rather than the Sunday and May Day Holiday as it also did since it became a 17 day tournament in 1982, 1985 and 1990.
