Škłoŭ (Template:Lang-be, IPA: [ʂkɫɔu̯]; Template:Lang-ru, Shklov) is a town in the Mogilev Province of Belarus, located 35 km north of Mogilev on the Dnieper river. It has a railway station on the line between Orsha and Mogilev. The population is 13,282 (2007estimate[1]). It is the birthplace of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, President of Belarus 1994-the present (2007), promoted to the director of the construction materials plant in Shklov raion before he made his mark as a collective farm manager and then moved into politics.[2]
