Catherine Gordon (1764-1 August 1811), daughter of George Gordon, of Gight, co. Aberdeen, Scotland, married Captain John “Mad Jack” Byron on 17 May 1786. She was his second wife. Their son George Gordon Byron, the poet, was born in 1788.
