FC Gagra is a Georgian football club formerly based in Gagra[citation needed], Abkhazia. After[citation needed] Abkhazia's de facto independence was recognized by Russia and Nicaragua following 2008 South Ossetia war, the club moved[citation needed] to Georgia's capital of Tbilisi for its home matches, in the same way[citation needed] that Spartaki Tskhinvali from South Ossetia[citation needed] now plays it's home matches in Tbilisi.

FC Gagra currently play in Umaglesi Liga.

Gagra lost in 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08 promotion/relegation playoff, failed to play in Umaglesi Liga. But after the original Pirveli Liga champion FC Magharoeli Chiatura withdrew, Gagra taken the spot.

The club was called Gagra Plusi before it changed to the current name.
