David Fane (born 1966) is a New Zealand actor. He was schooled at St. Pauls College in Ponsonby. He got into acting quite late and trained at the NZ drama school, graduating in 1991. He first appeared on television in a sketch comedy show called SKITZ. He then did the sitcom spinoff "the semisis" in which he played the father and the minister. The play won the 2004 Chapman Tripp Theatre Award for Outstanding New Zealand Play of the Year.[1] Fane is a member of Naked Samoans. He played a leading role in Sione's Wedding. Other roles include parts in The Tattooist, bro'Town, and Outrageous Fortune.
Fane is also a host for the NZ radio station Flava 96.8 in the mornings.
