Wayne Gretzky
I suggest having "The Great One" lead directly to the article on Wayne Gretzky. When someone types in "The Great One" and pushes "Go," ninety-nine (no pun intended) times out of a hundred they are expecting to view an article on Wayne Gretzky. Amy Lee's article doesn't even refer to her nickname as "The Great One", and there isn't even a Wikipedia article on Danny Small. While Roberto Clemente was indeed great, the nickname "The Great One" belongs to Wayne Gretzky. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.49.147.23 (talk • contribs) 18:37, 5 November 2007

Procedural request following above comments. Is Wayne Gretzky the primary topic for "The Great One"? If so, the disambiguation page should be moved to The Great One (disambiguation), with The Great One redirecting to Wayne Gretzky and a {{redirect}} hatnote added to the Wayne Gretzky article. --Muchness (talk) 11:43, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Nah, for me the phrase brings to mind Jackie Gleason before Gretsky. older ≠ wiser 15:09, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Gretzky is the only Great One. Of course, I'm Canadian. Srnec (talk) 05:33, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose. I'm old enough that Gleason is the first thing that comes to my mind. I think the status quo is fine here. Deor (talk) 19:03, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
