The Mystery of The White Tiger (Book 1)

Mr. Mystery is a mystery-fiction series written by Jim Aitchison under the pseudonym of James Lee (also the author of the Mr. Midnight series). Unlike Mr. Midnight, it has a fixed group of main characters. The series is published by Angsana Books. Ten "episodes" of the series have been published, and new "episodes" are planned for release every two to four months, together with Mr. Midnight books.

Plot

The story is about 6 friends who own a detective company behind Alvin's mum's shop. They have always been eager to solve a case. So now they can solve many cases in this brand new series.The pupils who read the stories wont stop till they reach the end.Furthermore in the book 1, Alvin will find the killer who murder his dad(The Snake).And also The Black Hands(another criminal) interfiers!

Main Characters

The characters are Alvin, a.k.a "the smart one". He thinks deeply but sometimes his actions land his friends into trouble. Rafferty Lim a.k.a "Rafe", who does not like to take buses. Mars, Rafe's so called girlfriend, who likes to spend hours dressing and shopping with him. Wei Ling, who likes Alvin, Sinchita Sathish and Azizul. Azizul has a girlfriend called Farisha, but she's not an investigator. Sinchita Sathish can draw very well, and she does not have a boyfriend, as she believes that relationships do not last, just like what happened to her father and mother.

• Alvin Soh: He is the main character in My. Mystery. His lives with his mother, Gracie Soh after his father past away. His gel-slicked hair was always cut very short at the sides, which seems to make his ears stick out. And because his hair sprouted up from the top of his head, he looks a bit like a carrot. In The Mystery of the Sydney Slayings, he learns that his father was actually murdered by The Snake.
• Tan Wei Ling: She has a collection of criminal files in their headquaters. She is often jealous when Alvin is close to another girl, especially Tai.
• Rafe: His real name is Rafferty Lim. He is Alvin's best friend and his senior investigator. He was so handsome that he looked like a member of a boy band. He is also Mars Wong's boyfriend. In The Mystery of the Rajah's Ruby, he can fly a helicopter.
• Mars Wong: She is a beautiful girl and she is Rafe's girlfriend. She is closed to Tan Wei Ling and Sabrina Sim (another girl who is not a investigator). She is the one who find out Tai is actually The Snake's daughter. Before she have romantic relationship with Rafe, she had a boyfriend, Edmund Lim (The Mystery of the Eagle's Eye).
• Azizul: He always wear a hat. He takes care of Kuching, Sinchita's cat after she died. Azizul enjoys teasing Wei Ling just to see her beauty spot bob up and down. He has a girlfriend, Farisha, but she's not an investigator.
• Sinchita: Sinchita can draw very well. She has a cat, Kuching. Sinchita believes relationships do not last long, just like what happened to her father and mother. In The Mystery of the Seventh Sword, she is poisoned by The Snake. However, in The Mystery of the Missing Murderer, she dies. Leaving five investigators in the team.

Minor Characters

• Sergeant Soo: His name is Sam Soo. He is a closed friend to Alan Soh, Alvin's father. Sergeant Soo always help Alvin in his investigation, whether he likes it or not. But he becomes protective to Alvin and his team after he learns the secret that Alan was actually murdered by The Snake. He has a romantic relationship with Gracie Soh.
• Gracie Soh: Alvin's mother. Own a jewelry shop. She has a romantic relationship with Sergeant Soo. She is often worried about Alvin's safety during his investigation, especially after he learns the secret about Alan Soh.
• The Snake: Alvin's deadliest enemy. He often wears a green-reptile mask and he never take it off. He is extremely dangerous and always tries to get rid of Alvin as Alvin always outsmarted him. In The Mystery of the Rajah's Ruby, it is revealed he has a daughter, Tai.
• Tai: Her full name is Taipan, based on a deadly poisonous snake's name. She is very beautiful, and Alvin used to date her until Mars gave him warning. Tai oftens go against his father and warns Alvin about the danger that are coming, causing his father to question her loyalty.
