Michael Manning Weatherly, Jr. (born July 8, 1968) is an American actor.

Biography

Early life

Weatherly was born in New York City and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut, by wealthy parents Patricia, a hospital administrator, and Michael Manning Weatherly, Sr. His father cut him off from his inheritance when he decided to pursue acting.[1] According to him, he has eleven siblings (one of whom is the mother of actress Alex Breckenridge), though his only full sibling is his brother Will. The rest are either half- or step-siblings, as both of his parents are married for the third time.[citation needed] His father became wealthy from importing Swiss Army Knives. He graduated from Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts, in 1986. Subsequently, he spent some time in Paris at the American University of Paris.[2]

Career

He starred in Dark Angel for the two seasons it was on the air. In 1998 he starred in Significant Others on television with Jennifer Garner. The show only lasted for six episodes.

Since 2003, Weatherly has starred as Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo on the TV show NCIS.

He was a guest presenter at the Australian Logie Awards of 2007 on 6 May, 2007 and was a guest on Rove Live[3].

Personal life

Dated Rachel Hunter and Rebecca Gayheart. In 2001, he became engaged to his Dark Angel co-star Jessica Alba, but the couple broke up in 2003. [4]
