Hello. My name is Kiruba Shankar and I live in Chennai (previously Madras) in India. I'm part of the team helping set up the Wikimedia Foundation in India. I also help conduct Wikipedia Academy in India and hope to make this a succesful program across India. I co-founded The Knowledge Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that focuses on knowledge sharing and open access. We helped conduct WikiCamp, a major unconference with over 350 wiki enthusiasts in 2006 at Chennai. One of my wishes is to see our strong Indian Wikipedian community join hands together and bring [[Wikimania]] to India in 2010. |
