Dokka is the administrative centre of Nordre Land municipality, Norway. Its population (2005) is 2,796. In 2002, Dokka celebrated its centenary.


The name

The centre is named after the river Dokka. The name of the river is derived from the Old Norse word dökk f 'hollow, depression'.
