Lewis Holtby (born September 18, 1990 in Erkelenz) is a German football (soccer) player, who currently plays for Alemannia Aachen in the 2nd Bundesliga.
Holtby has played since 2004 for Alemannia Aachen. He made his first professional appearance in the 2007/08 when he was appointed by caretaker manager Jörg Schmadtke to the squad and played against FC St. Pauli.
Holtby was capped by Heiko Herrlich to play for the under 18 national team of Germany. He also was capped to play for the german U-19 team in September. He scored his first international goal on 11 october against Lithuania at 5:0 victory.
Meanwhile Lewis Holtby is an important part of the Team of Alemannia Aachen. At the beginnig of season 08/09 he attracted attention because of some ingenious assists.
In the 2nd Bundesliga he scored his first goal for Alemannia Aachen on 5 december against TSV 1860 München
