Seafar is an area of the town of Cumbernauld.

Seafar is north of A80 trunk road and is broadered by seafar wood, planted at the time of the construction of the town. The area was the 2nd built in the new town of cumbernauld and its many streets are named after the local farms that use to exist within the area. It has two local primary schools, St Mary's and Ravenswood Primary.

Added to that, there is a Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses next to St Mary's Primary school and north of 1 of cumbernauld's 5 high school, Our Lady's High school.

There are also several shops that were originally built to meet the need of the local homes but have seen a steady decline with the growth of the 2 two supermarkets within the town centre.

There is also a Shell Petrol Station in Seafar, where Andrew William MacFadyen Smith works full-time as a night-time console operator.

Also the talented future musician Scott Flanagan used to live here, but now resides in Dennyloanhead.
