Open Season 2, is a direct to video sequel to the 2006 computer animated movie Open Season produced by Sony Pictures Animation, directed by Matthew O'Callaghan, co-directed by Todd Wilderman, and produced by Kirk Bodyfelt and Matthew O'Callaghan.
Plot
Set one year after the events of the first movie, Boog and Elliot are back. After Elliot falls head over hooves with Giselle, Elliot's road to the Altar takes a slight detour when Mr. Weenie is kidnapped by a group of pampered pets determined to return him to his owners. Boog, Elliot, McSquizzy, Buddy and the rest of the woodland creatures launch a full scale rescue mission for their sausage shaped friend and soon find themselves in enemy camp; the world of the pets. Led by a poodle named Fifi (Crispin Glover). The pets do not plan to let Mr. Weenie go without a fight.[2]
Trailer
A small teaser trailer for the film was included on the Surf's Up DVD and Blu Ray. The trailer itself is very short and only includes clips of the first movie and doesn't have any new footage. The premise of "What does a bear do in the woods?" is also conflicting with the plot outline that Sony Pictures has described. The trailer can be found on the official Open Season 2 site and the popular video sharing site YouTube.
A new trailer for the movie has been released to Reel FX Entertainment's website and more recently added to YouTube, one of the animation studios working on the film. It shows clips of Mr Weenie's kidnap and some plotting to what Boog, Elliot and friends are going to do, to get their friend Mr Weenie back. The trailer also shows clippits of the pets who are holding Mr Weenie hostage. [3]
Another trailer, about ten minutes long, is included with the film Marley & Me.
