A chocolate teapot is a hypothetical teapot made from chocolate. Because, it is supposed, such a teapot would melt, and be impossible to use, the term is often used as an analogy for any useless item.

In fact, experimental evidence[1] shows that such a teapot can be used to make tea, whilst other research[2] concludes to the contrary.
