I am willing to contribute mainly in topics related to [[Turkey|Turkish]]/[[Anatolia|Anatolian]] culture. Particularly, I will be editing pages related to Turkish folk music. As time allows, I am planning to create page for the three most important [[mistrel|mistrels]] of Turkish folk; Asik Veysel, Asik Mahzuni Serif, and Neset Ertas. |

Recently, I have also started showing interest in articles related to history and politics of Turkey. Since most of these issues are highly controversial, I observe that the information in Wikipedia is highly biased by several sources of fanatism, including Turkish, Kurdish, Greek, and Armenian nationalism, and Islamic fundamentalism. I try to contribute on neutralizing/correcting such biased information by stating my opinions in the talk page. My policy is not to edit the article, since I believe I am not qualified for editing most of those articles and I want to stay away from any kind of aggression, vandalism, and personal conflict. |
