The Four Heatons (pop.70,000) are a collection of four affluent suburbs to the North-West of Stockport and bordering the city of Manchester. The four areas are Heaton Moor, Heaton Norris, Heaton Mersey and Heaton Chapel.
Due to its suburban affluence, the area is very popular with commuters and young professionals, resulting in a large rise in house prices. The area has numerous parks, shops and amenities. Cafe culture has become notable in the area with the opening of numerous bistros. This is following the trend of other up and coming localities such as East Didsbury.
Some famous people who live in the area are Nicky Butt, John Thompson and Domonic Monaghan.
