Mansfield is a city located in Tarrant County, Texas. There are 52403 people that live there.
Geography
Mansfield is located at 32°34'38" North, 97°7'36" West (32.577087, -97.126699)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 94.6 km² (36.5 mi²). 94.5 km² (36.5 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.11% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 28,031 people, 8,881 households, and 7,646 families residing in the city. The population density is 296.7/km² (768.5/mi²). There are 9,172 housing units at an average density of 97.1/km² (251.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 86.41% White, 4.40% African American, 0.57% Native American, 1.23% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 5.67% from other races, and 1.71% from two or more races. 12.75% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 18,841 households out of which 50.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.5% are married couples living together, 8.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 13.9% are non-families. 10.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.08 and the average family size is 3.32.
In the city the population is spread out with 31.8% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 34.6% from 25 to 44, 20.2% from 45 to 64, and 5.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 32 years. For every 100 females there are 102.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 101.1 males.
The median income for a household in the city is $66,764, and the median income for a family is $71,700. Males have a median income of $150,084 versus $30,796 for females.
