Charter buses
Most charter buses (coaches) are powered by Detroit Diesel 60 engines. The '60' indicates the number of cubic inches per cylinder. The 11.1 L (677-cid) version has 11 cylinders, the 12.7 L (775-cid) version has 13 cylinders, and the 14 L (855-cid) version has 14 cylinders. Tractor-trailer trucks can have as many as 14 cylinders while most school buses and city buses have inline-six, V-6, and V-8 diesel engines. The 11.1 L version was rated at 350 horsepower in 1993.[citation needed]
