Hey, I've just recently been introduced to Wikipedia, and I really enjoy what I've seen so far. I hope to contribute much (as well as learn much).

I'm interested in history of all sorts, as well as language and music--music's my first passion.
I'm interested in history of all sorts, as well as language and music, but especially in East and Southeast Asian culture.

My newest passion, the one that seems to be taking over, is a burning desire to promote peace and love-love for its own sake, even if it's something as simple as helping someone with their homework. What I want more than just about anything is for everyone to ''really'' learn about the world and the people in it. The feeling I get is that many of my compatriots don't really want to learn about the people they have an effect on, though it comes back to haunt us daily and the resources are ''readily '' available. I'd like to help break down unnecessary barriers between cultures, and do my best to break stereotypes of all kinds. I'm also open to new ideas, but I want to find out things for myself. More to come, and soon.

I'm interested in history of all sorts, as well as language and music, but especially in East and Southeast Asian culture.

I would like to get other people interested in learning about the world and the people in it. The feeling I get is that many of my compatriots don't really want to learn about the people they have an effect on, and when confronted with facts don't want to acknowledge them. I see plenty of resources that are readily available to show them otherwise.

I'd like to help break down unnecessary barriers between cultures, and do my best to break stereotypes of all kinds. I feel the best way to do this is to talk about it, even though it often means I take a stance in opposition to someone who shares my ethnic or social background. I'm also open to new ideas, but I want to find out things for myself. I will therefore look things up rather than believe word of mouth right away; at the very least, if someone tells me something that I do believe and then I find information contradicting it, I can let go of the information I was told somewhat easily.
