Doak first worked with [[Rare (company)|Rare]] where he worked on games including [[GoldenEye 007]] and [[Perfect Dark]]. At the end of 1998 he left Rare to help start [[Free Radical Design]]. After the close of Free Radical Design in December 2008, he and [[Steve Ellis (video game designer)|Steve Ellis]] went on to form [[Pumpkin Beach]].


The fictional cherecter [[Dr. Doak]] in the game [[Goldeneye 64]] was named after him.
The fictional characters 'Dr. Doak' in the 'Facility' level and the secret multiplayer mode character 'Dave' in [[GoldenEye 007]] were named after him. He is known to be quite the explosive man, and gets quite a few honeys. It is also rumored that one of the new James Bond releases that will be coming out soon, will feature Dr. Doak as a side character. He is currently Married to Christopher Redfield.
