Just wanted to give a quick thanks for getting use of fungicides talk page restored! I saw it dissappeared then saw it reappeared and noticed it was you who asked MZMcBride to put it back. I am still working on getting that article back up, been a crazy couple work weeks but I'm thinking it'll be back up in the next week or so. An "egg" question
I have seen that you are quite committed with the egg (biology) article, apart that visiting your user page I have noted that you are, in some ways, an "expert" and Australian. I would like to ask you, if you could write a few lines in the egg article about the monotreme eggs (platypus and equidnas) If there is information on the fossil monotreme eggs, the better. I have looked them up and although there is quite a lot of information, there is no much on the eggs... I mean: what differences are they between a monotreme egg and the other eggs, what are they like, an image would be great...etc... Anyway, thanks... --Francisco Valverde 19:26, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Francisco,
- I'm afraid I'm no eggspert—my contributions to egg (biology) have been mostly copyediting, wikifying and implementing others' suggestions. I'm a little busy with uni at the moment, but I'll put this on my todo list and hopefully have a look in a few weeks time. –Adrian J. Hunter 13:40, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
glofish
Hi Adrian -
I'm also proposing we merge GloFish into Zebrafish. It's the same species after all. Wondering if you'd like to comment at: Talk:GloFish. Cheers, David. MidgleyDJ 09:45, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Your edit to Phoberomys pattersoni
Hello. You appear to have replaced the contents of the above page with those of Proconsul africanus. I am assuming this was a mistake and plan to revert, but thought I would check here in case you know something I don't about the classification of these extinct species. Fungicide
I'm much more of a hit the preview button kind of girl then add paragraphs at a time :p. I am actually adding stuff from my old third year notes, I just had to adapt it so it sounded a bit more encyclopeadic - also need to find references as I don't think "lecture 3 of Plant Disease control at the university of Nottingham" really counts.
DMI actually stands for DeMethylation Inhibitor, I should have added that! I think until the fungicide article becomes more established it's not worth establishing a daughter article specifically on fungicide resistance. I considered it before I started and decided to just add it to fungicide.

Re: Nicolas Cage semi-protection request
The vandalism isn't that bad this time around - and it's getting reverted pretty quickly. I'll keep an eye on it. east.718 at 20:56, January 16, 2008
Re: are the genomes you're adding all annotated?
Hi Adrian. I don't know if the new mammalian genomes are annotated. All of them are fully assembled, if that's what you mean, with the possible exception of the Platypus. I was basing inclusion on the presence of the complete genome (not just partial or mitochondrial) in the Genbank database. I've been unable so far to find many of the new ones in journal articles, but haven't looked through minor journals. In addition, the public announcement of the sequencing of the Opossum genome has to be premature - it seems that only part of that genome has been sequenced. The 1.8* coverage for the rat was in 2004, there has a lot of sequencing work done on the rat since then but I don't know how much the coverage has improved. There may well be other genomes that should be included on the page, I was only looking for mammals. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mollwollfumble (talk • contribs) 01:06, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi Adrian - since Sunday is inconvenient for many people due to church, we are rescheduling for Saturday. I hope this will enable you to attend! Best, ~ Riana ⁂ 11:43, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Your deletion of "Pipetting Valley"
Hi Adrian
I have realized that you have initiated the deletion of the entry "Pipetting Valley" with the comment that it would not be available anywhere else in Google. Actually, today it gave 102 hits in Google, 243 in Yahoo. It is a relatively new expression - that's correct, but it discribes an area in Switzerland that hosts the majority of companies in the field of liquid handling automation - which is usually well understood by people working in laboratories (which seems to be your background, too). These companies are also organized in various clusters and industrial organisations.
I guess you would not delete "Silicon Valley" - though there are many companies listed (would you?).
Please reconsider your deletion and aktivate the articel again.
You also seem to be very much concerned about "commercial links". Well, in Biology, Chemistry and Automation, as well as in IT or computer science, "commercial" companies have a major impact on the developments, new technologies and methods. There is plenty of very nice literature on many topics on their homepages, which may be of high interest and good information to those people, who actually search for those topics. It is not legal to copy this information, but it is still useful information, so links to these pages may indeed be of interest.
Best regards,

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to User:Arnon Chaffin/Anti-Vandalism Center: You may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. ArcAngel (talk) 16:22, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Wikimedia Australia incorporation meeting
Hi there Adrian J. Hunter! As you may know, the Wikimedia Foundation has recently approved Wikimedia Australia as an official chapter. In order to acknowledge this, and to appoint an interim committee, approve our statement of purpose and our rules, and appoint a Public Officer, Wikimedia Australia will be having a meeting at Computerbank in Melbourne. For those of us who are located in other cities, we shall be holding conference calls to the main meeting. The meeting will be held at 2:30PM on Sunday, 20th April 2008, Adelaide time. In order for us to organise this meeting, we need your help! Please drop by at our meta subpage with suggestions as to venues, conference calling services, etc. It will be at 2:30 so we can meet up for lunch beforehand if anyone's open for that! Hoping to see you there! ~ Riana ⁂ 01:47, 20 March 2008 (UTC) |

- It's here. This is a script version that is run in Linux or Cygwin so I'm not sure how useful you will find it. I couldn't see any advantage over Wikipedia Cleaner. William Avery (talk) 21:59, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
- By all means add the link where you think fit, but thanks for asking. William Avery (talk) 13:08, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks!
Thanks for the kudos! It was my first major wikipedia contribution so I'm glad to see it was well recieved. I'm looking to probably add some more to the history in the next couple days and hopefully start looking at other articles to add to as well, so if you have any suggestions on articles that could use some work let me know!
