"Don't Be Cruel"
Song

"Don't Be Cruel" was the lead single from Bobby Brown's second solo album Don't Be Cruel.

Chart performance

"Don't Be Cruel" rose from #59 to #49, on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, the week of August 13, 1988. The song was somewhat of a slow climber, finally peaking at #8 the week of October 15, 1988, where it remained for two consecutive weeks. It also became a top 3 hit on the R&B charts. In October 2004, Don't Be Cruel appeared in popular videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on fictional New Jack Swing radio station CSR 103.9. ----
