The Fame Ball Tour is the debut concert tour by American pop singer-songwriter, Lady GaGa. The tour is to promote her first studio album, The Fame. The act will tour North America. Lady GaGa confirmed that she will take her solo tour to the United Kingdom in summer 2009.

Background

The tour was officially announced on January 12, 2009 through Lady GaGa's official Myspace page. This will be her first headlining tour; she has previously served as opening act for New Kids on the Block's highly successful New Kids on the Block: Live tour, as well as the Pussycat Doll's World Domination Tour. The tour is sponsored by Dylan George Jeans.[1] The venture will run throughout the US and Canada.[1] GaGa has promised her fans that they can expect plenty of high drama from her upcoming performances, "I consider what I do to be more of an Andy Warhol concept: pop performance art, multimedia, fashion, technology, video, film. And it's all coming together, and it's going to be traveling museum show."[2]

Tickets for her Kitchener, Ottawa and Montreal shows in Canada reportedly sold out in minutes, being resold later online for up to $321 when the regular admission fee was $20-$30.[3]
