Usage

This template does not place tagged articles into any cleanup categories. This template is a self-reference. It should not be subst'd.

The principal distinction between {{Importance}} and {{Importance-section}}, aside from the obvious fact that the former is for entire articles and the latter for sections, is that articles are subject to notability guidelines and the notability requirements, in some cases, in Wikipedia's deletion policy; "notability" in Wikipedia does not equate to a subjective determination of "importance". On the other hand, sections in an article about a clearly notable subject should be of encyclopedic merit and both relevant to the topic of the article and non-trivial (i.e. "important" in the context).
