Royal High School (RHS) is one of three public high schools in Simi Valley, California. Royal is part of the Simi Valley Unified School District and is located on Simi Valley's west side. The two main high schools, Royal and Simi Valley, are rivals and always have huge turnouts for their yearly "Simi-Royal" football game. Royal High School is a California Distinguished School and the recipient of a Digital High School Technology Grant. Royal's school colors are green and gold, and their mascot is Willy the Highlander.

Royal opened in 1968 but did not have a graduating class until 1970, because the class of 1969 was not divided up and remained at Simi Valley High School. Royal opened up with only sophomores and juniors. Freshman, at that time, were part of the junior high system.
