May Bukas Pa (There Is Still Tomorrow) is a Philippine drama series which started airing on February 2, 2009 after TV Patrol World[1] at ABS-CBN. It is based on the 1955 Spanish film Marcelino pan y vino.[2][3][4]
Plot
When he was just a baby, Santino (Zaijan Jaranilla) was abandoned by his mother in a monastery. Santino was raised by the caring priests Father Anthony (Jaime Fabregas), Father Jose (Dominic Ochoa), and Father Ringo (Lito Pimentel). As a young boy, Santino will find a friend in a mysterious person which he calls “Bro” (shortened for brother) who will help him change the lives of the people in their town. May Bukas Pa is a story that is set to open the eyes of viewers that there will always be hope amidst trials and difficulties. Miracles don’t just fall from heaven but comes to those who keep their faith.[5]

- Zaijan Jaranilla as Santino - A kind-hearted but clever young boy. Longing for the love of his real mother, he will find a friend in a mysterious person he calls ‘Bro,’ will help him change the lives of the people in their town.
- Albert Martinez as Enrique Rodrigo - The town mayor whose lust for wealth and power will drive him to do illegal acts. He never treats Stella as her daughter as in fact his not the real biological father as revealed later.
- Dina Bonnevie as Malena Rodrigo - The wife of Enrique. She will do everything to prove her love for her husband. Underneath her beauty and glamor is a dark secret that continues to haunt her. She's the only one who knows the real/biological mother of Santino. As the past says, she come from a rich family. Her enviousness to her sister's lover and smartness pushed her to make wrong deeds, and falling in love with Mario. How long will she keep her secret to Enrique that Stella is her daughter to Mario? Will she tell Santino the truth or will she keep it from him? She is the killer of Santino's mother but she will try to keep it secret. She is mistaken to be Santino's mother.
- Precious Lara Quigaman as Selda - The wife of Mario, a policewoman and the younger sister of Malena. She is Joy's mother. Santino looks up to her like a true mother. She came from a rich family but gives up her richness and smartness for her lover, Mario.
- Tonton Gutierrez as Mario - A policeman whose terminally ill daughter will be miraculously healed by Santino. He is Malena's ex-lover and unknown to him, Stella's biological father.
- Rayver Cruz as Cocoy - An orphaned young man (previously an in & out of jail) who works as an assistant in the monastery. Has a secret crush on Stella, which blossomed into real love, and is currently in a relationship with Stella.
- Maja Salvador as Estella 'Stella' Rodrigo - The obedient daughter of Enrique and Malena. She treats Santino as her younger brother and viewers will be surprised with the real connection they have entreats the end. She's the biological daughter of Mario. Currently, she is the current girlfriend of Cocoy.
- Jaime Fabregas as Father Anthony - The chief administrator of the monastery. Underneath his strictness lies his love for Santino.
- Dominic Ochoa as Father Jose - Serves as the cook in the monastery. Santino looks up to him like a true father.
- Lito Pimentel as Father Ringo - He left his life of parties and music to become a priest. He devotes his time looking after Santino. His true past was revealed when Enrique is uncovering the dirtiest secrets of the monastery's priests: he was an ex-convict for the crime of theft, and his calling came due to him being a sacristan during his time in prison.
