Porter Crater is a crater in the Argyre quadrangle of Mars at 50.8 degrees south latitude and 113.9 degrees west longitude. It is 105 km in diameter. It was named after [[Russell W. Porter]], an [[United States|American]] [[artist]], [[engineer]], [[amateur astronomy|amateur astronomer]] and [[explorer]] who lived from 1871 to 1949.<ref>http://www.flag.wr.usgs.gov</ref>
