Welcome!

Hello, Trulystand700, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! --NrDg 03:28, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ship templates

I noticed that you re-added the country/flag parameters to several cruise ships. Per the templates code outlined at WP:SHIP (template at Wikipedia:WikiProject Ships/Tables), those parameters are not used on commercial ships (the flag is shown in the port of registry field). --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 01:02, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Oceana (ship).jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

The image displays Regatta of Oceania Cruises (of which a free image is already available), not P&O Cruises Oceana

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Image:Oceana (ship).jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Kjet (talk · contribs) 10:34, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SSTs

Hi Trulystand700, and thanks for your recent contributions about SSTs - these have filled a couple of gaps in our coverage. Please be a little more careful with facts, however: you wrote about these two aircraft projects as though they were current, whereas neither has been under development for many years. Of course, if you have some source that shows us that they have been revived, we'd love to know about it! --Rlandmann (talk) 19:46, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

December 2007

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to [[::Image:Ventura (ship).jpg]]. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Not replaceable means impossible to replace, not hard to replace. NrDg 21:00, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:High Speed Civil Transport (HSCT).jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:High Speed Civil Transport (HSCT).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NrDg 21:12, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for putting in the proper public domain notice. You might consider putting the image in commons. --NrDg 22:31, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And once again - Welcome!

Welcome to WP:CEng, thanks for agreeing to improve wikipedia's coverage of civil engineering articles! Cheers, Dumelow (talk) 13:39, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Sailing at sunset.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Sailing at sunset.jpg.

Thank you.

Fair use images are for the main article namespace only, not for userboxes (which is in the User space). Plus there are plenty of suitable free images in Commons that can be resized for use. Please make an effort to find a free image next time. Kelvinc (talk) 20:24, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NOTE: "As of now there are no fair use replacements on the internet and others can be deemed unusable" is never a sufficient justification for the fair use exemption of the use of copyrighted material. The internet is not the sole source of images particularly when a subject is in existence and a picture can be take of it. This has been pointed out to you before and was part of the reason you were blocked in your other incarnations. Please don't restart the same pattern here. --NrDg 20:46, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Map

I want to upload a map of The Triborough Bridge from this website on google [1] can i upload and put it on the page about the Triborough please respond. --Trulystand700 —Preceding comment was added at 22:08, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, that would not be usable unless the copyright owner is willing to or already has released it to public domain. See WP:FU#Unacceptable images. The site www.ny.com likely has permission to use or owns the copyright to the map. You can create your own version of this illustration, as long as it is not a tracing, and upload that. Similar to how we can't use text from other sources but can paraphrase in our own words what is said. You can also search in wiki commons [2] and see if someone has already created this illustration. Rule of thumb, pretty much any image you find on the net will be a copyright problem. Fair use exemptions are pretty strict and limited. See WP:FU. What Wiki would like people to do is create their own images, much like we create our own text. Take pictures, draw illustrations and donate that to wiki is highly appreciated. --NrDg 23:06, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the maps you drew for this and for Throgs Neck Bridge but unfortunately they are just too crude to be useful. I hope you can eventually get or draw more useful maps. Incidentally you may have noticed that I made one of the photographs. This is because I lack the skill to make a good drawing. A drawing can be better than a photo, but only when made by a carefully trained hand. Jim.henderson (talk) 19:06, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection

Adding the tags to your pages just puts the lock icon in the upper right corner. It doesn't actually protect the page. Eventually a bot will come around and remove the tag. You can get your user page protected if you want - let me know and I'll do it for you or ask on WP:RPP. Your talk page has to stay unprotected so anonymous people can communicate with you. --NrDg 00:09, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Protected your page as requested. --NrDg 00:16, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unprotected. Looks like you have not been registered long enough to edit semi-protected pages. Ask again in 3 days. --NrDg 00:30, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to WikiProject Trains

Hello and welcome to the Trains WikiProject! Thank you for adding your name to our project membership list. Our goal is to build the most comprehensive and detailed guide to rail transport on Wikipedia. As a project member, you may add the project membership userbox to your user page if you wish.

If you haven't done so already, please add our main project page to your watchlist and take some time to review the Trains project manual of style where we have collected guidelines and suggestions on notability and style for a consistent representation of rail transport related material. If you're curious about where to start, we've gathered a few suggestions in the Trains project to do list. If you'd like to specialize in a particular area of study within rail transport, take a look at the current Trains project task forces.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the project talk page or on my talk page. Again, welcome and happy editing! Slambo (Speak) 12:08, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Image-Station Of The Second Aveune Subway.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Image-The Second Avenue Subway.jpg. The copy called Image:Image-The Second Avenue Subway.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Second Avenue Subway, etc.

I am starting a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject New York City Public Transportation regarding your images. We will decide whether we want to allow the use of images from the MTA website in Second Avenue Subway, Fulton Street Transit Center, and other articles, taking into account the lack of copyright information given, as well as the fair use criteria. Until we reach a decision, please cease editing these articles. Larry V (talk | e-mail) 18:23, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Atlantica (aircraft)

A tag has been placed on Atlantica (aircraft) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mhking (talk) 02:24, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've temporarily tagged the article as {{underconstruction}} and will check back in 24-48 hours. Please read the pages linked within the above message and address the concerns raised. - auburnpilot talk 02:56, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After a closer look, I've deleted the article as a copyright infringement of http://www.wingco.com/atlantica_bwb.htm . We cannot accept copy/pasted material from other websites. If you wish to use the company's website as a source, please do, but do not simply copy the content of their website and insert it here. You must use your own words. - auburnpilot talk 03:11, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your previous account, Roadcrusher (talk · contribs), was blocked repeatedly due to continuous copyright violations and sockpuppetry. Why should I not indefinitely block this account right now for continuing the same behavior? - auburnpilot talk 03:14, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

...for turning MV Sirius and SS California from red to blue. I'm a bit confused by California, though—it seemed you were working off the information at Wikipedia:WikiProject Ships/Tasks, but the ship you've written about does not appear to be the same one described in the articles S.S. California strike and Joseph Curran. Can you clarify by providing some references? Maralia (talk) 04:40, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Woodhaven Junction (LIRR station).jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Woodhaven Junction (LIRR station).jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 23:16, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ship articles

Thanks for starting ship stubs from the requested articles lists. Please make an effort to include references for each article you start. It would also help if you reviewed any of the ship articles you recently started, to see the changes that I have made in regard to capitalization, grammar and formatting. Thanks. Maralia (talk) 15:45, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for improving MV Sirius with an infobox and a source. I've tweaked the infobox to separate the ship's military and civilian careers. Appreciate if you would review the data in the General characteristics section, as the numbers don't seem to agree with those at [3]. Maralia (talk) 02:34, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

City Tech Tower

I want to put this image from the daily news website on wikipedia's article about the City Tech Tower can i put it up since it says "Use of this website signifies your agreement to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy © Copyright 2007 NYDailyNews.com. All rights reserved." the website link is right here [4] so can it be used. Trulystand700

Look at the image page Image:Signature Tower.png and see if the justifications match what you want to include in the City Tech Tower article. Make sure you include both the license information and the rationale similar to the one that image used and you should be OK. You might wish to get a second opinion at WP:MCQ. --NrDg 03:05, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:7 Subway Extension1.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:7 Subway Extension1.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 15:07, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with Image:The 8.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:The 8.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:53, 23 January 2008 (UTC). Your request

I cannot delete images at this present time. Just let the statutory time run out on the image put forth by the deletion notice and the image will be deleted. You do not have to do anything if an image is tagged that you uploaded and you want it deleted. You could make the process faster by asking an administrator to go ahead and delete it. -MBK004 03:12, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An image that you uploaded, Image:Image-Turkish_Airlines_Flight_981.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Route maps/diagrams

For simple route diagrams that do not require geographical accuracy, I recommend using Wikipedia:Route diagram template. You can recreate something like Image:IRT Third Avenue Line1.gif or Image:IRT Third Avenue Line.gif using this template without getting into copyright trouble. See other rapid transit lines, such as Kwun Tong Line and Canada Line, for examples of usage. Kelvinc (talk) 06:00, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unfree images (again) and copy-paste article

The first five images below can be replaced: the bridge and chocolate photos can be replaced by you taking a photo of these things. The subway diagrams can be replaced with your own image or Wikipedia:Route diagram template. All this should be familiar to you by now. I am also skeptical of your claim that the beagle image is free, and have listed it as a possibly unfree image. Finally I found that you copy-and-pasted to create an article, and have labelled appropriately. See each entry for the appropriate process. Kelvinc (talk) 07:10, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Image-Kosciuszko Bridge.jpg.

Thank you. Kelvinc (talk) 07:10, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:MV Beluga SkySails & The Skysail.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:MV Beluga SkySails & The Skysail.jpg.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Dornier Rs III, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.eads.com/1024/en/eads/history/airhist/1910_1919/dornier_rs3_1917.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 18:31, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Dornier Rs III

A tag has been placed on Dornier Rs III requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. All Rights Reserved

When a page at the bottom says all rights reserved can you copy the page and use it to make an article on wiki - Trulystand700 —Preceding comment was added at 04:30, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can never copy a page or any portion of a page unless the page explicitly releases all rights. All rights reserved is the default and is assumed even if not so stated. What you can do is use the INFORMATION on the page, with a reference to that page, and include that information in your own words in an article. You will want more than one source for any article to have a good article, one source is a bit too light to base a good article on. --NrDg 04:40, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Free pictures

Why deal with so many pictures from other people? Why not do your own photography? I bought a new camera last month and it's somewhat better than the one I got for free in October, but new or old cameras take pictures that I can upload for free, totally public domain so anyone can use them. CSS Skywalker

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article CSS Skywalker, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of CSS Skywalker. A tag has been placed on Florian Bollen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Doble steam car.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Doble steam car.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by an adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Pichpich (talk) 13:47, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by an adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Pascal.Tesson (talk) 22:49, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:East Side Access Map.jpg.

Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? ChrisRuvolo (t) 12:13, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:TACA Flight 390.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:TACA Flight 390.jpg.

Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:09, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Akashi Strait

A tag has been placed on Akashi Strait requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.  -- BeezHive (talk|contribs) 14:33, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Image-Tacoma Narrows Bridge1.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Semi-protection template

Hi, I am curious why you added the {{pp-semi}} template to the article 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The page is not semi-protected. That tag is normally added by an admin when the page is protected; if you see that is the case and the admin forgot, please go ahead and add it; but if you add it when the page is not actually protected, the tag will simply be removed (often by a bot). If you need to request page protection, post at WP:RPP. I don't really see a need for semi-protection at this point as vandalism has been relatively light. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:File-Continental Airlines Flight 3407.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:File-Continental Airlines Flight 3407.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. Input requested

Hi, your are listed in WikiProject Civil Engineering and I wondered if you might want to weigh in a couple of requested moves?
An editor moved the text from Suspension bridge to Suspended deck bridge and now thinks that the article should land at Suspended-deck suspension bridge. That move discussion is here Talk:Suspended_deck_bridge#Requested_move.
The other move request is here Talk:Suspension_bridge_types#Requested_move which shows what the editor proposes to put into the Suspension bridge article.
The discussion has major consequences on the content of the main article on suspension bridges. The root questions: Is a suspended-deck suspension bridge the proper name for a typical suspension bridge? And what content should be in the Suspension bridge article? - ¢Spender1983 (talk) 01:57, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
