Tandlianwala is a town in Punjab, Pakistan, situated between Okara and Faisalabad. It is a sub-division of Faisalabad District and has a Tehsil municipal administration (TMA).[1] It has three high schools and two colleges for boys and girls. There is a district hospital and a garden.

Naz Khayalvi, a relatively little known but very good poet of Urdu and Punjabi language, belongs to this city. His most famous poem is "gorakh dhanda" which was sung by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and is titled as "Tum ek gorakh dhanda ho".

The town is also well known because of high quality of sugar cane, and it has 2 sugar mills and dozen of cotton factories, rice factory and flour mill.

The people's party parliamentarians won the 2008 elections in the city of tandlianwala. There was a big picture of mohtarma benazir bhutto in front of bashir house which was put up by Mian Ifikhar Ahmad former ex-president of ppp-47 tandlianwala.

Bashir Hospital is one of the most famous hospitals in tandlianwala. It was built by Dr. Mohammad Bashir in the year of 1960 at samundri road, tandlianwala.

Mala bodiawala is a famous fair opposite to Ravi cotton factory owned by Dr. M. Bashir's son Mian Ifikhar Ahmad.

Tandlianwala is the Tehsil (Sub Division) of Faisalabad District of Central Punjab. Ravi River passes by the villages of Tandlianwala. The area which is at the bank of Ravi River is called “Pattan”, “Mari Pattan” is one of the famous Pattan located in the territory of Tehsil Tandlianwla. There are number of castes which live in the territory of Tandlianwla. Important Castes are Wattoo, Kharal, Baloch, Toor and others.

Tandlianwala is the area which is known for the braveness of its people. The people of this area fought bravely against British rule. “Mohammad Ahmed Kharal,” who was a famous freedom fighter, also belongs to this area. Being an agriculturalist area, most of the people here earn their bread and butter through cultivation. The town is also well known because of high quality of sugar cane, and it has 2 sugar mills and dozen of cotton factories, rice factory and flour mill. Toor Flour Mill, Moman Cotton Mill, Tandlianwala Sugar Mills and Channar Sugar Mills are the well known industrial units here.

Naz Khayalvi, is a talented poet, belongs to this area. He has written the famous Kalam, "Tum ik Gorak Dhanda" hoo, which was sung by Late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

Politically it is the most important Tehsil of Faisalabad District. Mian Manzoor Wattoo, the former chief minister of Punjab was elected from this constituency in 1993, while he lost that election from his home constituency. Afterwards he did not even add any word in his autobiography to thank the people of this area for the honor. The important political leaders of this area are Khan Shahadat Ali Khan, Mushtaq Toor, Khalid Wattoo, Shamsher Wattoo, Mian Nasir Baloch, and Ali Gohar Khan Baloch. Tandlianwla is gifted with some good politicians, who represent general public in the assembly. One such example is Mushtaq Toor, who can rightly be termed a “King Maker” of this area. He is a vocal member of district assembly and has been the member of district assembly for the last 18 years.
