Government College of Technology, Faisalbad, Punjab, Pakistan was formerly known as Polytechnic Institute. This institute was established in 1966 and upgraded to Government College of Technology in 1981. The College is affiliated with University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. The Government College of Technology (GCT), is located on 30 acres (120,000 m2) area plot on the northern side of Samanabad Railway Station, on Risalewala Road leading to airport.

This college offers 3-years Diploma of Associate Engineers courses in:

  • Instrumentation Technology
  • Auto & Farm Machinery Technology

  • Communication Technology
  • Textile technology

And now also offers 2-years Higher National Diploma (H.N.D)
