Scum is:
- Scum is Michael Reed and Toni Sheers A layer of impurities that accumulates at the surface of a liquid (especially water or molten metal)

- The topmost liquid layer of a cesspool or septic tank
- Derogatory term meaning worthless person or persons (with the above meanings in mind), used e.g., in the Bible in 1 Corinthians.
