I'm wondering how to include this info which I got from here. Basically it says that the guy who work on the previous Smash Brothers games but since left HAL, will help in the development in this game. :Wow, Babelfish is a crappy translator for French. Funny, 'cause it usually translates Chinese fine for me when I need it (and I do frequently). Anyway, I'll add in this little tidbit. Thanks for the heads up :). --ZeromaruTC 18:42, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

Summary of Video games WikiProject open tasks:

Hmm... I don't mean to be a spoilsport for Jacob .C, but there is absolutely nothing confirmed about this game, only that it is on the Revolution and will have some level of online support. No characters have ever been mentioned. For all we know, Nintendo might decide to create a new, original cast for the game, forgetting about everyone else. (I'm ignoring the fact that the article is riddled with typos and formatting errors, but that can be easily fixed and is not the point of my criticism.) I recommend we revert this to the redirect, but I'm not going to do it unless someone else agrees (I don't want an edit war on my hands). --ZeromaruTC 18:52, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

The article is now in "decent" shape. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 04:29, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

Sonic & Tails

I can guarantee you all right now that Sonic and Tails WILL NOT be in the next Smash Bros. game. They are owned by Sega. Nintendo only includes characters owned by themselves: no royalties were ever paid to other companies. Now stop adding them as "strong contenders". --ZeromaruTC 03:19, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

Ok I Will Stop Putting Them As "Strong Contender" But You Must First Stop Putting Koopa Troopa And Ridley Down As "Strong Contenders". Thank You For Your Cooperation.

I never did in the first place, but I think that both Ridley and Koopa Troopa WERE in the Nintendo Power poll, whereas Sonic and Tails were not. Indeed, even if they weren't (Ridley, Koopa Troopa) in the poll, Nintendo can still use them and they are popular choices among fan communities, so I have no objection to their mention. I will not personally re-add them, though. --ZeromaruTC 22:43, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

Thank You, And Do You Have Any Clue Who Wrote All Those Other Charcters, I Highly Doubt There Were In The Poll. I Will Not Take The Info Away However(It Was 50% Good And 50% Bad) Untill Someone Agrees With Me.

STOP ADDING CHARACTERS

There are NO, I repeat, ABSOLUTELY NO characters (or anything like date, developer, ratings, and the like) confirmed for this game. The ONLY reason Wario and Toad are even mentioned is because Peach and Bowser got in Melee after the same poll. I'm going to request this page be locked from editing until Nintedo starts announcing information, 'cause all these speculative edits is just flat-out insulting. --ZeromaruTC 15:31, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

Do U Know Who Wrote All That "Monkey" Stuff This Morning (October 22 2005) and tottally ruined this page. That Is Such A Big Shame for Whoever Wrote All That Junk.

Nov 12 2005 Press Release?

Can I get a source for that press release? I removed the character list added ('cause it was still speculative), but I kept the note about Satoru Iwata's press release, assuming it actually happened. I can't find any reference to it, though. --ZeromaruTC 11:30, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

No Confirmation

I haven't seen anything to support this person's statements either. I'm not going to erase it until I can get definite proof that he's lying, though. --Shadow Wyvern 23:13, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

There has been nothing about it on google, any mainstream gaming news site, or even Nintendo.com. The only event during this time was an after TGS event, where developers showed off their games. Nintendo themselves had a couple of games there, Mario Party 7 being the main one. No conferences what so ever. This is a blatent lie. 65.33.242.23 05:59, 15 November 2005 (UTC)Legoman727

Call me a pedantic little git if you like, but does anyone really think that link to the "Fan Created Character Database" - a fan site that's choc-a-bloc with characters who, frankly, are merely characters SOME fans would LIKE to see in the game- is worthy of inclusion? The number of characters on the page is ridiculous. I assume Revolution (the machine) will be powerful, but the page is simple asinine. Plus some of the characters are trivial and pointless. For example, how is "Vacuum Luigi" not just Luigi with the Poltergust 3000? Most of the characters are all-but-unknown and Jessie and James from Team Rocket are listed, despite being mainly animé characters (I'm aware they have appeared in 2 games, but I think it's a given they won't be playable characters in SSBR). Wikipedia doesn't link to fan fiction (or shouldn't, at any rate), so why should it link to this site? Bear in mind, once the game is released, the site will HAVE to be removed from these listings for gross inaccuracy unless it vastly alters. Do we really have to delay the deletion by a year? --L T Dangerous 22:16, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

Funny, I never saw it before. Replaced with Gamespot link. --ZeromaruTC 23:53, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

Removed stub notice

This may be a REALLY short article, but it contains every iota of information on the game outside Nintendo HQ. I've removed the stub notice, since there's nothing to expand on. --ZeromaruTC 23:57, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
