Shadow Mountain Community Church is an evangelical Christian megachurch located in El Cajon, California, a suburb of San Diego, affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. David Jeremiah has served as senior pastor since 1981 and began an international radio and television ministry, Turning Point Ministries, in 1982.

Founded in San Diego in 1909 by Civil War veteran, Winfield Scott, Shadow Mountain has grown to be one of the largest churches in California. David Jeremiah succeeded noted author Tim LaHaye as senior pastor in 1981. The church is celebrating its centennial in 2009.[1]

Carrie Prejean, Miss California 2009, attends Shadow Mountain and volunteers with the church's International Ministry Center. Prejean is a senior at San Diego Christian College, which is affiliated with Shadow Mountain.[2]
