Iain Williamson (born January 12 1988, in Edinburgh) is a Scottish professional football player currently with Raith Rovers on loan from Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish First Division.
Career
Williamson received a Scottish Cup runners up medal in 2007 when he came on for Mark Burchill in the closing stages of the final against Celtic. Celtic won the match 1-0.
Williamson scored his first goal for the club on April 26 2008 against Queen of the South in the final game of the 2007-08 season in the Scottish First Division.[1]
His brother, Keith, is an amaetuer footballer.
In Mid February 2009, Iain signed a loan deal with Dunfermline's local rivals Raith RoversRaith Rovers, lasting until the end of the 2008/09 season.[2] He scored his first goal for Raith Rovers against Stranraer in the Kirkaldy sides 3-0 Away win on 4th April 2009. This win subsequently relegated Stranraer to the Scottish Third Division Scottish Third Division. Williamson aided Raith in their successful quest to claim the Scottish Second Division Scottish Second Division Title for the 2008-9 Season.
