KBMX (107.7 FM) better known as Mix 108 is an adult-oriented CHR (Top 40) radio station servicing Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin. It is owned by GapWest Broadcasting.

The studios and offices are with it's three other sister stations at 14 E. Central Entrance, on the west side of Duluth.

The Adult Top 40 format is similar to WSTR/Atlanta. The station plays Hot AC and Top 40 songs including rap and R&B music, particularly at night. Since "Adult Top 40" is not always classified as an official format by the radio industry, KBMX is often listed as a Hot AC station in trades.

History

The station started out as "Z-Rock" (a classic rock format) and then became "107.7 The Point" After flipping from adult contemporary as "The Point" to hot adult contemporary as Mix 108 in 2002, the station gradually evolved to an Adult Top 40 format similar to WSTR/Atlanta, playing Hot AC and Top 40 (CHR) songs including rap and R&B music. Since it plays a mix of hit music from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and today such as a Hot Adult Contemporary, but adds hip-hop and Rhythmic Contemporary product to its rotation at night like a Top 40 (CHR), thus it could be considered an Adult Top 40. The station also airs Open House Party on weekends.
