Peter Hayden's erstwhile assistant, Stuart Evans Llansadwrn writes, " The film was not well-received generally in Europe but Peter Hayden believed in it. No doubt introduced to its merits by his close friend Van Morrison - who was to appear with The Band in 'The Last Waltz'. In fact Peter also appears in that film. Peter went to enormous lengths to force the hand of journalists in the UK at least, to reconsider their original reviews. |

Trivia
It says only Danova and De Niro are Italian. But aren't David Proval and Richard Romanus also Italian? Italian-Americans are actually the majority in the main cast, Harvey Keitel and Amy Robinson being the only exceptions.
