DIO - Distraught Overlord (ディオ) is an alternative metal, visual kei band from Japan, formed in late 2006. DIO - Distraught Overlord is currently signed to Red List Entertainment.

Biography

DIO - Distraught Overlord was first formed in 2005 under the name Baby Santa as a session band. They consisted of only four members at the time. Mikaru on vocals, Kei and Erina on guitar and Ivy on bass. In these first months a support drummer played with them, but was soon after replaced by Denka. Each member already had lots of experience from being in various bands in the past which helps the young band in the long run. The band tries for the more alternative and heavy sound. They have gained lots of success in japan in such a short amount of time. They have also been making appearances and releasing CD's around Europe.

In May, they gave their very first live as Dio and during the same night they distributed their first single, Garasu no Umi. In December they released another single, Byakuya ni Moyuru Hana, In May next year, they performed their first one-man live which was later released on a DVD. 2 Months later they performed in french event "Japan Expo"
