Taxi was a pinball machine made in 1988 by WMS Industries. The designers of it were Mark Ritche and Python Anghelo. The art of it was done by Python Anghelo. The mechanics were done by Craig Filtpold,Tony Kraemer, and Mark Kim. The music and sound was done by Chris Granner. The software was done by Ed Boon.
Gameplay
The goal of the game is to pick up all five passengers who are Pinbot,Gorbie,Lola(or in other versions there is a girl named Marylin instead),Drac, and Santa. All the passengers are seen as drawings on the playfield. When a drawing lights up that means that if you go to a certain area you will pick up the passenger. Once you pick up all of the passengers a thing called the Jackpot lights up. You have about ten seconds to get to it. If you do you get many points.
Marylin passenger
Origanally a girl named Marylin was there instead of Lola. WMS Industries had to think of a replacement for Marylin due to legal problems with Marylin Monroe likeliness. So then they thought of Lola. Now they had to make sure that Lola was seen on the table instead of Marylin. Today versions of the table that feature Marylin are very rare.
