:Okay, but I think the burden of proof lies with the people that added the story of the dadaists and the museum in the article, right? Seems like I shouldn't have to prove that the stories are false, but rather that someone should step forward and show that, for instance, the "sleepytime gorilla press" actually existed. I don't think anyone can do that, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.148.241.210 (talk) 05:01, 26 July 2009 (UTC) |

::Yeah, good point. There should be coverage detailed on here about the Sleepytime Gorilla Press aside from anything to do with the band. I hope I will be able to do such a thing soon. Are Sleepytime Gorilla Press, Lala Rola, John Kane, and all of the dadaist/futurists associated with this band fictitious?
I honestly cannot find an source of information on these figures aside from band interviews. So, it appears it is a hoax. Can anything provide evidence of this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.74.184.157 (talk) 13:58, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well, if that's the case, then I will edit the article accordingly. Since there is a possibility of a fictitious referencing, yet there is no definitive proof that it in fact is, then I will add the word "possibly" to the sentence that talks about this aspect of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. SB?
should Stolen Babies be added to associated acts? Dan produced their major label debut, and he plays instruments on several tracks along with carla & michael.65.43.208.170 08:26, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- If that's true, that Carla, Dan and Michael all played on Stolen Babies album, then yes, they should be added to the associated acts list. -Gohst (talk) 05:12, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
stuff
Well, they certainly should have a talk page! My recent change, I marked minor and said "no factual changes" but I did make a few minor additions, mostly in the related "bands" category (and links to the offical sites). Please help me come up with a better description of the stage show!!! The current one doesn't do them justice, and just does not really describe the live context. I also added the "performance art" and "mucial ensemble" links at the top as an alternate to "band", since calling them a band falls so so far short of the mark, IMHO. Tzf 06:44, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps a section on their instruments in the article? For instance it could mention the names of their odd instruments and then a brief description of what it actually does. For example the "slide action wiggler" I beleive one of them was called. Gohst 23:43, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- I think that in the bit mentioning bands which are said to be similar in some way to SGM, it might be an idea to have some bands there that aren't avant-prog, to actually show that they're a bit ... between genres. LupusCanis 20:23, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- I actually think the "Related Projects" part is too chunky. Lots of links and its hard to see what is what. I think it needs to be trimmed up. Also the external links has lots of non-SGM stuff, like Tin Hat Trio links, these should go on their own pages, not here. Gohst 04:33, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Something is wrong. How could the band start in 1999 when they did a live performance under the same name in 1997? Here's proof. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMtMTxLIASY&mode=related&search=
- The song is named 1997 Its a name of one of their songs, not the date it was played at. SuperRadX 18:19, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
