St Felix Church of England Voluntary Controlled Middle School has students ranging from Year 5 (aged 9) to Year 8 (aged 13), and accepts children from a wide area of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. It was built in the 1970s during a period of great drive for middle schools in national education.

In the summer of 2008, the school was burned and is now housed on the former back field where portakabins have been erected has a short-term solution.[1]

The school is currently also in the middle of a regional schools reorganisation project, which would see the scrapping of all middle schools in the area. St. Felix has been vocal in its opposition against such plans.[2]
