Derrick O'Keefe is a Canadian writer and well known social justice activist. He is the editor of rabble.ca, Canada's most widely-read progressive website, and his writings on foreign policy, Canadian politics, ecology and other topics have been published in a number of both alternative and mainstream publications. O'Keefe is the co-writer of the autobiography of Afghan women's rights activist and politician Malalai Joya -- A Woman Among Warlords (Scribner 2009) -- and is currently writing a book on the politics and ideas of Michael Ignatieff, to be published by Verso in 2010.
