The North East Professional Hockey League (NEPHL) is a low level minor pro hockey league that is scheduled to begin play in the 2009-2010 season. The NEPHL will play a 44 regular season, game schedule starting in November of 2009. There will be a weekly salary cap in order to keep expenses low. The league administrative office is located in Cranston, Rhode Island.

League History

The league was announced on July 12, 2009 via americanprohockey.com. The North East Professional Hockey League (NEPHL) will launch its inaugural season this November. The league will consist of teams in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York, with the possibility of adding additional locations in the future. The NEPHL will play a 44 regular season, game schedule starting in November of 2009. There will be a weekly salary cap in order to keep expenses low.[1]

Pat Lovett is the commissioner of the NEPHL and Kirk McDonough was named the President of the league.[2]
