Hiya, I'm BlastOButter42, and you've reached my talk page. To leave me a new message, click here or click the "+" tab on the top of the page (this will automatically add your comment to the bottom of the page. If you add your comment to the top of this page, I might not see it). I hate to fragment discussion, so this is how I do things around here:

Re: Well, we sure are keeping you busy...
...but would it be too much trouble to add some more warning templates to the "Advanced" window when you click on the Warn User button? I was thinking specifically {{uw-copyright}}, since that's come up at least twice in my Huggling just today, but other ones at WP:UTM I think deserve inclusion. I know many, including uw-copyright, are single-level, but that shouldn't be hard to get around -- you could just make the "Level" section gray out when you select a single-level template. -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 04:48, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Templates that don't have a level system can simply be added to the user templates menu (the blue "i" button). I have addded uw-copyright now; it should take effect when you restart Huggle -- Gurch (talk) 04:53, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, but they're not all there, and I can't remember the template names for all of them, which means I have to go to WP:UTM and look it up, which takes up valuable Huggling time. But thanks for including uw-copyright. -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 01:29, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Which other ones do you want? I'm not going to add every template message there is, because the menu would be too big and because half of them are pointless anyway -- Gurch (talk) 02:14, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Limousine (MS Rebridge)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Limousine (MS Rebridge), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Re; Long Island Rail Road pictures
On User talk:DanTD, BlastOButter42 said:
Why does the infobox at the top of Long Island Rail Road have to have the logo, a map, and two pictures? It pushes the more important information in the infobox way too far down the page to make room for pictures that would be better placed elsewhere in the article. I removed one of the two pictures, since two is excessive, but I don't think there is a need for either of them. Take a look at Bay Area Rapid Transit for example: there's just a logo and then the information in the infobox. While I think the map is useful there, neither of the pictures are really needed -- definitely not both. -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 22:38, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
That particular version of the infobox contained two pictures to show both the diesel and electric trains. It was only messed up when Sameboat added the line template from the Long Beach Branch. I was just restoring it to the previous condition. ----DanTD (talk) 01:11, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, but is it really necessary to show both the diesel and electric trains? Is it really necessary to show even one of them? I had restored the template to the way it had been before Sameboat changed it, and then also removed one of the pictures, since two pictures there is unnecessary and pushes the more important information in the infobox too far down. -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 01:41, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- It already has the caption reading "The Long Island Rail Road provides electric and diesel rail service east-west throughout Long Island, New York." It would be foolish to eliminate both pictures, when the caption describes both types of systems. For the record, I didn't create the infobox as it was before Sameboat changed it, and this really doesn't push the information that far down at all. ----DanTD (talk) 01:46, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Obviously the caption would be removed the pictures were. The point of an infobox is to make standardized information easy to find, right at the top of the article, not to show pictures. The pictures would be more useful, IMHO, elsewhere in the article, like under Lines and Services. The logo and a map are all that are needed at the top, besides the information in the infobox. They are nice pictures, though, so they should be visible. -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 01:58, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- The infobox is designed to carry both a map and an image. In this case, it's actually a single image of both types of trains. Personally, I like it as it was, but if you want to talk to somebody about it, go to User:AEMoreira042281, instead of me. In any case I'll look at the article on the Bay Area Rapid Transit, but I'm not changing my mind about the LIRR at this point. ----DanTD (talk) 02:07, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- I asked you because you reverted my edit when I removed one of the pictures of the trains in the infobox. (I know it was actually a single picture, but the technical aspect isn't the point.) And I know the infobox can hold an image and map; I'm just saying I don't think that's best here. At least, not an image that's actually two images. -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 01:36, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Did you talk to User:AEMoreira042281, yet? He's the one who created that, for your information. I can see you wanting to rever the infobox for having the line template it shouldn't have, but not for the image. Come to think of it, that Bay Area Rapid Transit infobox could use the image below it. ----DanTD (talk) 04:46, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

131 Charles Street and NRHP sites
Hi BlastOButter42 -- I noticed your prod deletion proposal for 131 Charles Street and I removed that. Your statement was to the effect that other than it being a landmark, it may not be notable. But, being a NRHP-listed landmark DOES make it notable. I certainly agree the article could be developed to better explain how and why it is notable, but it is notable. The NRHP listing would not have occurred if it was not notable on architectural grounds or for association with historic events or people or otherwise meeting NRHP criteria. And, for wikipedia notability and verifiability, there are extensive docs about every NRHP site available. I myself can't develop the article right now, but for this New York state one, docs could be found by searching here, by the way. So, tagging with "expand" or something would be appropriate, but not putting up for deletion, in my view. Thanks for listening! doncram (talk) 01:34, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- Mmkay, but it needs some serious work in that case. -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 05:01, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi, since I take accusations of copyright violation very seriously, it would be great if you could substantiate the one you recently leveled against me. For the obvious reason, please reply not here, but on my own discussion page. Markus Poessel (talk) 07:32, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Grandcentral logo.PNG)
Thanks for uploading File:Grandcentral logo.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Copyright issue
Somehow I didn't hear back from you concerning your earlier accusations of copyright violation against me (see the currently last entry on [1]). It would be great if you could either substantiate your accusations or retract them. Markus Poessel (talk) 15:46, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Userboxes
Could you at least let me revert these boxes to the way they were for uniformity's sake? I want all of them to look similar, but you insist on paddling into some dangerous image trademark/copyright waters. Tom Danson (talk) 14:43, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
On User talk:Tom Danson, BlastOButter42 said:
If you care that much about uniformity, then why not use each team's logo in that team's box? I'm pretty sure there are no dangerous waters here; there would be if it were a copyright issue, but it's not (I already explained the difference between copyrights and trademarks here to another user). And I'm not the one doing the paddling anyway -- the logo was originally marked as public domain by User:Postdlf, an admin and lawyer. If you really have an issue, take it up with him, not me. -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 04:46, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Because not every team's logo has the same copyright status as the Yankees or Red Sox. To keep everything similar, I just like keeping all the userboxes the same style. Tom Danson (talk) 20:20, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
